Here is our guide for your duty free allowances to Myanmar.Whilst still referred to as Burma by many English speaking nations, it became the Union of Myanmar in 1989, and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in 2008.These individual allowances apply to travellers and tourists only who are 17 years of age or older when travelling to Myanmar.
400 Cigarettes OR 50 Cigars OR 250 grams of Pipe/Rolling Tobacco.
You are permitted to bring a mixed quantity not exceeding 2 Litres.
Bottled perfumes and fragrances not exceeding 150 ml in total.
A reasonable amount of prescribed medicines for your own personal use. These may not include prohibited drugs.
Personal Items & Effects
Goods and personal items for use during your visit with a total value not exceeding $500 US Dollars.
One bicycle + One set of golf clubs (max 15 clubs) + Two tennis/badminton rackets + One fishing rod with accessories.
One handheld camera + One laptop computer.
One portable video camera + One audio player to be used for personal recording only.
Additional personal electrical equipment for your own use not exceeding $500 (US Dollars) in value.
Prohibited Items include:
Counterfeit currency and goods with counterfeit trademarks, any items bearing the flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, all pornography, any items or good showing the image of Buddha, all drugs and narcotics – and finally playing cards !
