Iraq Duty Free Allowances
Here is our guide to the current duty free allowances for Iraq.The allowances are given as a guide to what local Iraqi customs authorities will allow arriving passengers, free of duty.Full allowances are permitted for adult travellers of 18 years of age or older.
Visas are required by all foreign nationals for tourism, religious tourism and business visits.
Your primary international arrival airports are Baghdad International Airport (BGW), often referred to as BIAP, Iraq’s largest airport and home for Iraq’s national airline, Iraqi Airways. Basrah International Airport (BSR), the second largest. Sulaimaniyah International Airport (ISU), Al Najaf International Airport (NJF) , Erbil International Airport (EBL) and Mosul International Airport (OSM).Individual duty allowances for Iraq are permitted on the strict understanding that the goods/products are for your own personal use and not for resale.In all cases the total value of your duty free should not exceed 500,000 Iraqi Dinar (IQD)
1 litre of spirits + 2 litres of wine + 8 litres of beer/lager.
200 Cigarettes OR 250g of pipe/rolling tobacco.
Personal and private effect including clothes, perfume and toiletries are permitted duty free, as are personal electrical items – however, electronic and other effects in quantities such that they may be deemed to have a commercial value are prohibited.
