Chile Duty Free Allowances
For arriving travellers to Chile, here is out guide to the current duty free allowances.Full duty free allowances and entitlements maybe claimed by all travellers of 14 years of age or older, except alcohol and tobacco allowances where the minimum age is 18.
Allowances may not be pooled or shared.

Maximum allowances are 2.5 litres (tourists and visitors, 18 years of age or older).
400 cigarettes and 500 gms of tobacco and 50 cigars (tourists and visitors, 18 years of age or older).
Gifts and Presents
Total value of all items must not exceed US$300.00 (three hundred), or equivalent currency.
Prescribed medicines are permitted for individual personal use or for use by a direct relative.These must be accompanied by their prescription.
Pharmacy purchased medicines must be in their original packaging and be in sufficient quantities for your own personal use during the time of your visit.
Items including mobile/cell phones, video cameras, digital cameras, personal portable computers together with their respective accessories are permitted.
Individuals baggage, clothes, toiletries, sports equipment, binoculars together with books/printed material are also permitted. However, printed material deemed as “luxury editions” are not permitted.
