Hand & Cabin Baggage Rules – Germany

Air Berlin has a cabin baggage allowance of one item per adult passenger. Dimensions must be no more than 55x40x20 cm and the weigh no more than 6 kg, or 8 kg if containing a laptop.

Air Berlin business class passengers are allowed a second bag – max 6 kg only, except on flights to and from Canada and the United States.

Germanwings passengers are allowed 1 item of cabin hand baggage with maximum dimensions of 55x40x20 cm and not exceeding 8 kg.

For those just taking foldable suit bags/carriers, the size permitted is a maximum of 57x54x15 cm.

Lufthansa Cabin Baggage RulesLufthansa Cabin Baggage Allowances

Lufthansa passengers flying Economy Class may take 1 piece of cabin/hand luggage. Lufthansa First and Business Class you may take 2 pieces of hand luggage.

For all classes the sizes must be no larger than 55x40x23 cm with a maximum weight of 8 kg. However, foldable garment bags / suit carriers are allowed up to a size of 57x54x15 cm, but each will count as 1 item of hand luggage.

Note: On regional flights by small aircraft and those with destinations to countries with restrictive regulations, First and Business class passengers may have to check their second flight bag.
