Aigner

“We are a leather-lifestyle-brand.” Sibylle Schön, CEO, Aigner

Since 1950, when Etienne Aigner introduced the signature colour Antic red open-pocket bag with the famous horseshoe shaped logo, the Munich based company has been associated with high calibre craftsmanship, detailed precision and unique equestrian-inspired aesthetics. Since the early days we have stood out for our innovative use of materials and design creativity. Our philosophy is that essentials – such as handbags and leathergoods – should be an effortless part of a beautiful life – one which is pieced together bit by bit on a personal journey of joy, ingenuity and wit.

As part of your journey – to wherever you are travelling, make
time to discover the latest Aigner leather collection, available in airports globally, along with our innovative and exclusive Travel Retail range – practical, affordable, and beautiful in quality, hardwearing nylon. Check out the Art Edition collection, offering two unique and trendy prints created by Japanese artist Shinpei Naito. Available in two sizes, these light and practical bags are ideal to use as stylish hand-luggage – and with prices starting at just €100, they offer fabulous value too!

Extravagant parties and pure joie de vivre are the inspiration for Aigner’s 2013 Spring/Summer Collection. Our journey takes us to the Royal Court of the French 18th century – to the time of Marie Antoinette, the one-time dauphine and later queen of France. It is a fantasy world full of frippery, freshness and frivolity – a world in which baroque elements are interpreted in a modern way.
With this collection Aigner shows an explosion of colour – inspired by French Petits Fours and Champagne tones. The seasonal palette embraces the entire colours of the rainbow, combining powerful colours like Hibiscus, Jade and Iris balanced with the subtle shades of summer like Almond, Buttercup, Caramel and Champagne. Florals are also present, along with bright neons for those who really want to make a statement.

Each line is named to reflect the savoir-vivre and French charm of the Marie Antoinette period. We love Marie with its straight-line cut and decorative cockade in beautiful hibiscus, while the sophisticated Daphne shopping bag in robust yet smooth leather is a work of art with its paintbrush effects in neon colours. You’ll love the gorgeous Dauphine pouch bag made of the softest cowhide – it really lives up to its name – the heir to the throne of the king of France, while the Honeycomb model is both cheerful and modern in neon pink, white, cognac and black. The 2013 Spring/Summer Collection also boasts a new design for Aigner’s classic Icon Cover bag, creating a vivid baroque tapestry look à la Versailles. Simply stunning.

Shapes are varied to suit your style – classic and clean, noble and sophisticated, playful and frisky To be in trend, bags with a short handle are ‘hot’ this season. Whatever your style, remember that prices at the airport (starting from €400 depending on the region) will offer you real savings compared to the domestic market, so it makes sense to buy while you travel. Make your journey one to remember with Aigner.
